Stage 0 · A1 découverte
Introducing yourself
Build a short personal introduction with your name, origin, place of residence and one simple detail.
1. Objective
By the end, you will introduce yourself in four simple sentences and understand the same information from someone else.
2. I discover
Read: “Bonjour, je m’appelle Arben. Je suis albanais. J’habite à Lyon. Je travaille dans un hôtel.” What information do you learn?
3. I understand
For a short introduction: Je m’appelle… gives your name; Je suis… can give nationality or profession; J’habite à… gives where you live; a final sentence can add work, study or an interest.
In everyday French, Je m’appelle… is the most natural basic way to give your name.
4. Guided practice
5. Independent practice
6. I write / I speak
Prepare a four-sentence introduction: name, origin or nationality, city, activity. Say it once with notes, then once without.
7. Check my learning
8. What I remember
Je m’appelle… · Je suis… · J’habite à… · Je travaille / j’étudie / j’aime…
9. Now I can…
- I can give four pieces of information about myself.
- I can understand a very short introduction.
